Taking place on the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic, this pilgrimage includes some of the Columba Way. Accommodation is provided at the Garten Outdoor Education Centre which is situated on a beautiful lough, a short walk from Columba’s birthplace and well.

From there, we will travel to the city of Derry where Columba established a monastic community and hear how bloodshed resulted in the punishment of exile from his beloved homeland. On the third day we’ll visit the beach where he bade farewell to Ireland and set sail for Scotland and the Island of Iona.

We will meet on the city side of the Peace Bridge which spans the River Foyle in Derry at 2pm on Friday 1st September and it is from here our pilgrimage will begin.

You will be returned here at 1pm on Monday 4th September in order to return home or journey onwards.

Derry

Cost £390 per person which includes B&B, 3 dinners, 2 lunches, museum entrance and evening entertainment. Single supplement £90 and additional £20 payable for twilight paddle on the lough.
